I stumbled upon Khameleon808’s 15-minute Glitch Mob movie tribute, and - holy hell - I was hypnotized. Perfect synchronization, perfect timing; it’s a force to be reckoned with. It’s also quite enviable, which led to the video before you. I’ve always tried to make these montages with some sort of narrative or pattern in mind; similarities between clips, common threads and motifs, etc. I wanted to try the other method, the Khameleon808 method: no narrative, just fluidity of motion and sound, harmony between picture and image. Film selection was liberal: anything visual and kinetic, barely connected by an overarching theme. Two conclusions: Alison Lohman is utterly gorgeous, and I won’t be quitting my day job anytime soon.
