Visit Visit our website This 1933 silent educational film is about Brazil, the state of Rio de Janeiro, the city of São Paulo, and the various natural resources and industries across the country, from farming to manufacturing and production. After 1930, the successive governments following the Old Republic continued the industrial and agricultural growth and development of the vast interior of Brazil. The movie was released as part of a series known as Eastman Classroom Films, which were used (as the name implies) in classrooms around the United States. The film would have originally been accompanied by a study guide or script which would have been read aloud in the classroom.
