Given that the original series was produced at DesiLu Studios, I always felt that the band performing this may have actually been Desi Arnaz’ band. There is certainly that Cuban rumba element to its exotic appeal. Maybe a real Trekkie will know and be able to fill me in on this. It’s bitching hard to play this at full speed, and the thing is over before you know it, so i slowed it down a wee tad for your listening and dancing pleasure.
