Underworld - Dark & Long (Dark Train)

This was already sounding great in the clubs in 1994 in Dublin, I heard it out a couple of times. But later was used to great effect in the gritty 1996 film Trainspotting. It was apt that they had this playing in the room with the “trains“ wallpaper in the getting sober scene. I was disappointed it didn’t make the first CD of the soundtrack (and a very truncated version of “For what you dream of“ by Bedrock feat KYO). Nonetheless this is peak Underworld, by the trio which included Emerson, with its long intro and synth stabs and repeating overlapped vocals and pseudo mechanical sounds you can almost smell the tube stations in London off this one. Mind the gap!
