If you just got a fancy new OLED/QLED/MicroLED TV with HDR support, here is a 7 minute stress test to see what it’s capable of!
Music by Uzair Hassan:
This animation was created using a long painstaking process of recreating a virtual AMD 8085 CPU from model diagrams of each layer found here:
Using the diagrams as a reference, I traced vector outlines to drive the lighting animations and depth extrusions in after effects, making a total of 6 x 8K animated textures. Applying these to a swirling tube I created in Cinema 4D and Octane Render, I rendered each layer into its own video file (using 7 GPU’s across 3 computers), then back into After effects to combine the layers and make each one react to a different frequency of the music! The entire workflow mastered in 32 bits per channel (4.3 trillion colors) for amazing HDR output.
