Ruins of Pompeii: Walking Tour (With Music)

Here is the link to an updated Pompeii walk: Take a 2-hour walk around the ruins of Pompeii. Pompeii is located near the Bay of Naples. It was destroyed in 79 A.D. when Mt. Vesuvius erupted and covered the city in a blanket of ash. While most Pompeiians had time to flee, over 2,000 people died. Pompeii was rediscovered in 1758 by a group of explorers. The excavation process continues to this today with one-third of the city still waiting to be unearthed. Now the city acts as a window into the ancient past. You can see the streets, buildings, houses and even the remains of the victims, just as they were almost 2,000 years ago.
