On Mamady KEÏTA’s Ascension Day (the 40th Day after his death), the KEÏTA family held Celebrations of Life for Mamady KEÏTA and carried out the animist and religious ceremonies in Balandougou, Matoto, Belgium and the USA (which was streamed live on YouTube and Facebook) to ensure that Mamady’s spirit would be received in heaven alongside his ancestors where he will rest in peace. This video contains the animist ritual as well as videos from his family, loved ones, fellow artists, Tam Tam Mandingue Teachers and fans from around the world who wanted to share their love and bless his soul on that day as he ascended up to heaven.
