Like so many orphans that arrive into care, Beau was dehydrated, thin and very frightened. Now ten weeks old, this little man will be heading off to creche for soft release within the month. Flying-foxes have such endearing little faces and they their large forward facing eyes that allow them to see equally as well in the dark as they do through the day. Coupled with a keen sense of smell and a high intelligence, it’s no wonder our flying-foxes have been a part of our environment for thousands of years.
