On YouTube, you can find beautiful performances of Chopin’s waltz by pianists such as Claudio Arrau, Lang Lang, Evgeny Kissin, Martha Argerich and Valentina Lisitsa. I played it on guitar since I was fourteen. Now I finally recorded it, with Grammy Award Winning producer Norbert Kraft.
On my new album, next to Chopin, you will find more transcriptions for guitar of well-known pieces by Debussy, Satie, Schubert and Albéniz and original guitar favorites by Barrios and Tárrega. Also, the album contains beautiful recordings for guitar and cello, with my childhood friend and duo partner, cellist Feliks Volozhanin: Albinoni’s Adagio, Schubert’s Ave Maria and the world premiere of Three Night Ballades, dedicated to our duo by the wonderful Russian composer Konstantin Vassiliev.
Thanks to Daan Alkema for another beautiful video! And thanks to Loekie Greshof for making this video possible!
