Buddha Pusaya Khiri Sri Suvarnabhumi, Wat Khao Thiam. U Thong Province: Suphan Buri, Thailand. Description Wat Khao Tiam is located at U Thong Subdistrict, U Thong District, Suphan Buri Province. It is an old temple since ancient times, and it is assumed to be the first temple in Thailand. 300 years after the Lord Buddha’s death, Phra Moggalli Butr Tissa Thera has performed the 3rd synagogue with King Asoka the Great as a patron in Pataliputra, and sent envoys to the Arahant Panchawakey namely Phra Sana, Muni Thera, Chani Thera, Phuri Thera and Uttara Thera; to propagate Buddhism to the city of Suvarnabhumi, and inscribed in the ancient Sanskrit language that: “Pusayakiri“ or “Pusayakhiri“ means “mountain flowers“ because on the mountain, there are beautiful flowers consisting of Suphannika (cotton anchor) flowers, wild operas, three colors.
