Restoration and Renovation Turkish Mauser Bayonet Knife 1890

Hello folks! Today I will show you a new restoration of the Turkish bayonet knife of the 1890 model to the Mauser system of the 1890 model. This bayonet is so old that in our time it has already come remade, shortened. The rings are cut off, the length is reduced by half. But, I will bring him back to his senses, well, let’s start the restoration. First, I removed the old handle pad and placed the bayonet in the rust remover. Then washed, dried and oiled. The surface of the entire bayonet was cleaned with a cord wire brush. The blade was corrected on the sanding machine and began its light sanding. Only to remove small scratches and dark places from rust. The pads for the handle of the bayonet were made of walnut wood. Steel rivets. After the final processing, I moved on to creating a wooden scabbard. I know that the original scabbard is not wooden, but it is impossible to create them together with the details at home.
