Beware of Darkness || Deathstroke

Aside from the lackluster finale and his somewhat ridiculous ending (I mean, come on, he’s not dead, we all know that, right?), Titans did an amazing job bringing Slade Wilson to life; a flawed man and truly terrifying villain. Excuse me while I wax poetic for a minute - I chose this song not only because it’s epic, but also because I love the double meaning as it applies to Slade: “beware of darkness.“ The obvious interpretation is for others to beware of him, as he is the darkness that kills and destroys. The other aspect, though, is for Slade to beware of his own darkness inside of him, a warning he didn’t take to heart as he went down an increasingly dark path and became more of a monster. The darkness inside of him - his bitterness, vengeance, regret, apathy - eventually consumed him and ruined his marriage, his relationship with his son, and prevented him from establishing any real connection with his daughter.
