Difference vs Distinction - Bateson vs. George Spencer Brown and about Cognition

It a visual essay on the delta between the terms “Difference“ and “Distinction“ and it refers to Gregory Bateson and George Spencr Brown and their concepts of understanding. With reference to science - especially Physics and Math which use a coherent system of terms - “difference“ is bases on physis while “distinction“ is based on logic. The understanding here ist that a DIFFERENCE can only be detected (same categorie, i.e. same physical quantity for describing phenomena) while a DISITINCTION has to be drawn (different categorie, i.e. different physical quantities). To “draw a distinction“(!) between the physical space and the logical space has brought up modern science in the last 400 years: This interaction of Physical Space (=Reality) and Logical Space (=Virtuality) might be of interest when thinking about of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Systems Thinking.
