Tie-dye Studio Eshiborian, established in 1973, is located in the northern part of Kyoto, overlooking Mount Hiei.
One of Tie-dye Studio Eshiborian’s craftsmen, Takeshi Fukumura, was born in Kyoto, studied under his father when he was in college, and has received various awards as a tie-dye artisan.
In a land blessed with abundant nature and water, he produces tie-dyed kimonos, obis, and accessories using traditional techniques with careful attention to detail in every step of the process.
