Dame Janet Baker in conversation with Norbert Meyn In this interview Janet Baker talks about her work with Austrian singing teacher Helene Isepp, the conductor Peter Gellhorn and the pianist Paul Hamburger as well as other émigré musicians. She also discusses the overall importance of émigré musicians from Germany and Austria on music in Britain. This interview is presented as part of the ORAL HISTORY PROJECT “Singing a Song in a Foreign Land“, which focuses on musicians who emigrated from Central Europe
