When I catch myself too deep in thought, spiraling through my doubts, fears, anxieties… the first thing I do is snap myself back into this moment. I focus on my breath, look at my hands, tap my body and observe what’s in front of me as if it’s the first time I’m looking at it. I send my energy deep into the earth, I stay grounded like a mountain.
The mind spends so much energy on analyzing the past and worrying about the future - this is all just an illusion that often pulls us away from the beauty of life’s precious moments. How many times are you physically with someone but mentally somewhere else? Learning how to BE in your body, grounded and centered, is the key to snap out of the mind at any moment you feel it is taking over you. By shifting my awareness I take my power back, and I invite you to deepen your breath so you can do the same.
