► ’’A NIGHT WITH THE BLUES’’
Lyrics: I work hard every day just to pay the rent.
I work hard every day just to pay the rent.
Before the week is gone, ooh, the money’s all been spent.
Starin’ at the wall, at the clock that’s tellin’ time,
Starin’ at the wall, the clock is tellin’ time,
Lookin’ out my window, ooh, with a woman on my mind.
A house is cold and lonely, when the woman’s ain’t around.
A house is cold and lonely, when that woman’s ain’t around.
Glad you’re here sweet Jesus, ooh, You keep my world from fallin’ down.
Instrumental
Thinkin’ ’bout you baby, would you ever do me right?
Thinkin’ ’bout you baby, would you ever do me right?
I need to feel you near me, ooh, I need you here tonight.
Instrumental to end
Jerry WaddeL, Born 1946 in Altus Arkansas. Jerry began his musical journey at the age of 9 when he received a Stella guitar for Christmas, teaching himself to play it. Drawing from his upbringing in the hills of Arkansas and early working years throughout Mississippi, Louisiana, California, and Texas, Jerry infuses a brand of reality and power in his music that is unmistakably rich, unique, and his alone. Now living in the state of Tennessee, Waddel and his band have built a respectable following of devoted fans and night club operators.
