Coq Roq was the product of a marketing campaign by Burger King in 2004. It was to market their new item on the menu, Chicken Fries. While not necessarily a flop campaign, it did come under a lot of heavy controversy. There was a lot of complaints about sexual innuendos in the commercial imagery, music, and even in their name, Coq Roq. Though this would not be the final time the band came under fire. In 2005, Burger King would be sued by none other than Slipknot. Slipknot claimed Coq Roq was a blatant rip off of their look. Burger King soon filed counter-suit against them saying it was more of a parody. Long story short both cases were dropped. I personally didn’t have a problem with the band. I actually rather enjoyed it. There is apparently an EP by the band that I could not find anywhere. If you own the Xbox 360 game, Pocketbike Racer, many instrumental versions of their tracks show up in it. All I could find was this video and another for Cross the Road. Coq Roq you live on here. In
