Jazz Violin Lesson: How to think and play like a HARMONY instrument! 7th chords + ii-V-I progression
I’m excited to present a new educational video I made to teach string players to really OWN their jazz harmony and how to ’comp’ (create improvised accompaniment) in jazz styles on the violin!
This video teaches you how to build the main types of 7th chords and how they fit within the classic ii-V-I progression found all over jazz music.. then how to actually strum them as chords!
If you’re interested in playing jazz on a string instrument I think you’ll really find this useful.
Let me know what you guys think or if you have any questions!
Video originally created for my good friends at Jazz Memes (I hid a few in the video)
